8.25am: Despite earlier rumours that the Upton Marina bridge had been closed, we have now heard that it is OPEN and can be crossed with care.
The road between Upton and Hanley Castle remains closed. As yesterday, First public buses will run as normally as they can, but will need to take an alternative route to get to the school.
