Despite the extreme traffic conditions this morning, 90%
of students made it into school today. Our thanks go to parents, bus companies
and staff, many of whom had extremely lengthy journeys.
Having consulted
with the environmental agencies and the county transport managers we intend to
open the school tomorrow (Tuesday) as we have today.
We ask staff to make every
effort to leave home as early as possible.
Buses will run wherever
possible, and take detours. Students should wait at their normal bus stops, and
be patient. Public service buses from Malvern and Worcester did arrive at school this
morning, but some with very few passengers. Please see the 'snow blog' for more
details.
IN ANTICIPATION OF SEVERE DISRUPTION, SCHOOL WILL START AT 9.50
WITH LESSON 2. Students arriving earlier will be supervised. They should go to
their tutor room if they are in school before 9.50.
WE INTEND TO FINISH
AT 3PM. THIS IS TO ENABLE STUDENTS AND STAFF TO GET HOME SAFELY. THIS TIME WILL
BE REVIEWED THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
WOULD PARENTS PICKING UP STUDENTS IN CARS PLEASE DO SO AFTER 3.15PM AND USE THE BUS BAY.
Update at 2.30pm Monday 10th Feb.
